Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Spain's Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez inaugurated India’s first private military aircraft facility in Vadodara, Gujarat, today. This new TATA Aircraft Complex, in partnership with Airbus, will produce the C-295 transport aircraft to replace India’s ageing Avro-748 fleet. Out of 56 planes ordered, 16 will arrive from Spain, while the remaining 40 will be assembled in India. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh hailed it as a milestone for India's aerospace industry. The C-295, capable of carrying up to 71 troops, offers versatile capabilities for tactical transport, logistics, and all-weather missions.
