The cyclone caused widespread damage, uprooting trees and snapping power lines in multiple areas. Odisha’s Chief Minister, Mohan Charan Majhi, reported no injuries or deaths in the state. However, one fatality occurred in neighboring West Bengal, with East Midnapore and Kolkata experiencing the cyclone’s severe effects, including significant waterlogging. Authorities in both states are assessing the damage and working on restoration. Relief teams are mobilized to address disruptions and assist affected residents as storm impacts are further evaluated.
