He reiterated India’s commitment to aiding in a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict. “We support the restoration of peace and are ready to provide all necessary help,” Modi stated during a bilateral meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The BRICS Summit, themed “Strengthening Multilateralism for Just Global Development and Security,” also saw the inclusion of new members—Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia, and the UAE—further expanding the group's influence, which now accounts for 41% of the world’s population and 24% of global GDP.
