External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar announced that Indian and Chinese soldiers will resume patrolling as they did before the 2020 border clashes. Speaking at the NDTV World Summit, Jaishankar said, "We have reached an agreement on patrolling, and we have gone back to the 2020 position." This breakthrough follows years of negotiations and tensions along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). Jaishankar credited "patient and persevering diplomacy" for the progress and highlighted that restoring peace along the border is crucial for improving other bilateral ties between India and China.
