India has informed Canada about Sandeep Singh Sidhu, a Khalistani terrorist involved in the murder of Balwinder Singh Sandhu, a Shaurya Chakra awardee. Sidhu, known as Sunny, works for the Canada Border Services Agency and is linked to Pakistani intelligence and the Khalistan Liberation Front. Reports indicate he shot Sandhu in October 2020 for trying to stop him from smuggling drugs and weapons. The National Investigation Agency has claimed that Khalistani terrorists based in Canada orchestrated Sandhu's murder, raising concerns over the safety of Indian nationals and border security.
