Heavy rainfall triggered a landslide on the Mumbra bypass road in Mumbai on Wednesday evening, but there were no reported injuries. Fire Officer Swapnil Sarnobat confirmed that the landslide occurred due to persistent rain, with the incident reported around 9:30 PM. The area is known to be susceptible to landslides during heavy rain. Crews have cleared the rocks from the road. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted continued rainfall in Mumbai until October 1. An orange alert has been issued for the city, while a red alert is in effect for Thane, Palghar, and Raigad districts.
