Heavy rain continues to disrupt Mumbai, prompting the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to close all schools and colleges on Sept 26. Rail tracks have been submerged at Kurla, Bhandup, and Vikhroli, leading to delays on the Central Railway line, while 14 flights have been diverted. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a red alert for Mumbai and neighboring areas, warning of thunderstorms, gusty winds up to 50 km/h, and rainfall exceeding 204.5 mm. Residents have been advised to stay indoors as the weather worsens over the next few days.
