A US court has summoned the Indian government, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, and former R&AW chief Samant Goel following a civil lawsuit filed by Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun. The lawsuit alleges a plot to murder Pannun, who heads the radical group Sikhs for Justice. The summons was issued by the US District Court for Southern District of New York, requesting a response within 21 days. India’s Ministry of External Affairs expressed concern and launched a probe. Despite the case, both nations maintain that India-US ties remain unaffected.
