Typhoon Yagi has caused severe devastation across Southeast Asia, with Myanmar reporting over 220 deaths and nearly 80 missing. The storm, which struck in early September, has affected northern Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, and Myanmar, resulting in over 500 deaths region-wide. In Myanmar, the typhoon triggered floods and mudslides, destroying villages and leaving extensive damage. With hundreds of thousands of acres of crops ruined, the UN warns that more than half a million people in Myanmar urgently need food, water, shelter, and clothing.
