India strongly condemned Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei's remarks regarding the "suffering" of Muslims in India, Gaza, and Myanmar. The Ministry of External Affairs labeled the comments as "misinformed and unacceptable," urging Iran to review its own minority record. Khamenei made the statement on social media, calling for global Muslim solidarity. This isn't the first time Khamenei has commented on India's minority issues, with previous remarks on Kashmir in 2019. Despite this, India and Iran maintain strong ties, recently solidifying the Chabahar port agreement to enhance regional connectivity.
