Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has called on residents of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) to join India, emphasizing that they are regarded as "our own" in India, unlike Pakistan where they are considered "foreigners." Speaking at a rally in Ramban, Jammu and Kashmir, Singh urged support for the BJP to drive development in J&K, suggesting it could encourage PoK residents to align with India. Singh also criticized the National Conference-Congress alliance's promise to restore Article 370 and dismissed fears over its abrogation. Jammu and Kashmir's elections are set for September 18, 25, and October 1.
