The UK's summer is expected to end abruptly, with temperatures plunging by over 10°C next week. After reaching 30°C in parts of southern England on Sunday, areas like Wiggonholt, West Sussex, will see daytime temperatures drop to 19°C by September 11. Cambridge will experience a 14°C drop, falling to 15°C. Cooler air from the north will bring wet, windy conditions across much of the country, according to forecasters. The Met Office warns of potential thunderstorms, especially in southern England, as unsettled weather continues. Northern regions may see brighter, more settled conditions as autumn approaches.
