Heavy rains over two days have caused widespread flooding in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, leading to at least 20 deaths. Thousands were evacuated to relief camps as rivers overflowed, roads were blocked, and rail services were disrupted. Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy urged the central government to declare the floods a national calamity. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah assured both states of support. The Indian Air Force is conducting relief operations in Vijayawada, while 26 National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams are deployed in affected areas.
