Cyclone Asna to Move Away from Indian Coast, Heavy Rains Expected in Gujarat: IMD

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday warned that Cyclone "Asna," a deep depression over the Arabian Sea, is likely to move West-Northwest over the Northeast Arabian Sea and away from the Indian coast within the next 24 hours. The depression, moving at 14 km/h, is located 250 km west of Naliya in Gujarat, 160 km south-southwest of Karachi in Pakistan, and 350 km east-southeast of Pasni in Pakistan. The cyclone has caused heavy rains in Gujarat, with the IMD predicting light to moderate rainfall in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar.
