Gujarat on High Alert as Cyclone Warning Issued, 36 Dead Accross State

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a cyclone warning for Gujarat, predicting a deep depression over western Kutch to intensify into a cyclonic storm by Friday noon. Heavy rainfall has already claimed 36 lives in the state. In the last 24 hours, Mandvi taluka in Kutch received 15 inches of rain, with Kutch and Devbhoomi Dwarka districts averaging 4 and 2 inches, respectively. The IMD has forecast heavy rain and strong winds in Kutch, Morbi, Jamnagar, and Devbhoomi Dwarka. Residents have been advised to stay indoors and follow safety precautions.
