UK Police Bust Indian-Origin Gang Smuggling Drugs in Chicken Consignments

A 10-member gang, including Indian-origin men, has been convicted of smuggling drugs using frozen chicken consignments. The gang was busted by West Midlands Police, who seized 400kg of cocaine and £1.6 million in cash. Maninder Dosanjh and Amandeep Rishi were sentenced to 16 years and 11 years in prison, respectively. The gang used pallets of raw chicken to transport drugs, supplying cocaine wholesale nationally. The police's Regional Organised Crime Unit dismantled the supply chain, resulting in prison sentences ranging from 16 years to two years for the gang members.
