Dr. Ramesh Babu Peramsetty, an Indian-origin physician with 38 years of experience in emergency medicine, was shot dead in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, USA. Originally from Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, Peramsetty was the founder and medical director of Crimson Care Network. The shooting occurred on August 25, 2024, and Peramsetty was pronounced dead at the scene. He was also the brother of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Peramsetty Ramaiah. Details of the incident remain undisclosed. The Crimson Care Network mourned his loss and requested privacy for the grieving family.
