Nepal Bus Accident Death Toll Rises to 41, Mostly Indian Tourists

The death toll from a road accident in Nepal's Tanahun district has reached 41, as Maharashtra Minister Girish Mahajan announced on Friday. A bus carrying around 43 passengers, mostly Indian tourists, veered off the road into the Marsyangdi River at Ainapahara on August 23. Minister Mahajan stated that the Maharashtra government is in regular communication with Nepalese authorities and the Indian Embassy in Delhi to manage relief efforts. Of the passengers, 12 have been transported to the hospital by the Nepal Army for medical treatment. The incident highlights the ongoing safety concerns in the region.
