The death toll from the recent floods in Tripura has increased to 20, officials reported. Seven additional fatalities occurred in South Tripura district due to landslides, including three women and a child. The landslides were triggered by heavy rainfall, causing houses to collapse in Santirbazar. Rescue teams recovered all seven bodies on Thursday. This is the state's worst monsoon flooding in over 30 years, with many more affected by the ongoing disaster. The government is working to provide aid and relief to those impacted by the floods.
