Tripura Floods Kill 7, Relief Camps Opened as Rains Continue

Heavy rains have caused severe flooding and landslides in Tripura, resulting in seven deaths. Floodwaters have forced over 34,000 people into 346 relief camps. Chief Minister Manik Saha visited affected areas in Agartala and met with families in shelters. He has requested additional NDRF teams for support. Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, have called for immediate relief and aid. The Met Department warns of more heavy rains due to a depression in the Bay of Bengal, with rivers flowing above danger levels. Schools in Tripura are closed due to the severe weather.
