Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Kyiv on August 23, marking the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister since Ukraine's independence. Before heading to Ukraine, Modi will be in Poland from August 21-22. In a statement, he said, “As a friend and partner, we hope for an early return of peace and stability in the region.” Modi plans to discuss bilateral cooperation with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. He will travel to Kyiv by train from Warsaw, a journey expected to take about 10 hours each way. His visit comes amid ongoing conflict in the region.
