India and Japan will hold their third '2+2' ministerial dialogue on August 20 in New Delhi. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar will meet their Japanese counterparts, Yoko Kamikawa and Minoru Kihara, to discuss enhancing strategic ties and reviewing Indo-Pacific security. The dialogue, established in 2019, aims to deepen defence and security cooperation between the two nations. India has similar '2+2' dialogues with only a few countries, including the US, Australia, and Russia.
