Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with Bangladesh’s interim leader, Muhammad Yunus, who assured him of the "safety and security of Hindus and other minorities" in the country. Yunus emphasized that reports of attacks on minorities have been "exaggerated" and invited Indian journalists to visit Bangladesh to see the situation firsthand. PM Modi reiterated India's support for a "stable and peaceful Bangladesh" and invited Yunus to join the Third Voice of Global South Summit. The PMO stated that both leaders discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations.
