Boeing's Starliner mission, which launched in June, has been extended due to propulsion system issues, costing the company $125 million. The mission, initially expected to last eight days, has faced helium leaks and thruster failures, delaying the return of NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams. Boeing's total losses on the Starliner program have reached $1.6 billion. NASA is considering using SpaceX's Crew Dragon for the astronauts' return. The delays have also postponed SpaceX's Crew-9 mission to September. Despite setbacks, Boeing remains optimistic about Starliner's future missions.
