One person has died and at least 28 are missing after cloudburst incidents in Himachal Pradesh. The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) has launched a major search and rescue operation. A cloudburst in the Samej Khad area of Rampur in Shimla district caused sudden severe flooding late last night, resulting in 19 people going missing, said Shimla Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap. Rescue teams from the National Disaster Response Force, Indo-Tibetan Border Police, police, and home guards are involved in the operations. Drones are also being used to locate the missing individuals, Kashyap added.
