The US deported 48 Indian students in the past three years without providing any explanations, Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh informed Parliament. He speculated possible reasons such as unauthorized employment and failure to report OPT employment. Additionally, Singh revealed that 633 Indian students died abroad in the past five years, with the highest number in Canada. India currently has approximately 1.33 million students enrolled in higher education institutions across 101 countries. The government is working on raising awareness about safe and legal migration and taking action against illegal migration networks.
