Experts say the Indian heritage of some US presidential contenders, like Kamala Harris and Usha Vance, will have little effect on India-US relations. Both countries have bipartisan support for strong ties, mainly to counter China's influence. Former Indian ambassador Harsh Vardhan Shringla noted that the relationship would not be adversely affected by the candidates' Indian connections.
