In a tragic road rage incident in Indianapolis, 29-year-old Gavin Dasaur, a newlywed Indian-origin man, was shot dead in front of his wife on July 16. Dasaur, driving a black Honda, confronted the driver of a Chevy pickup, brandishing a handgun. A mobile phone video shows Dasaur striking the truck with his gun before being shot three times by the pickup driver, who remained in his vehicle. The shooter was initially detained but released, suggesting self-defense. Dasaur’s wife, who witnessed the incident, held him as he died. The Indianapolis Police Department is investigating the incident.
