External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar inaugurated a modern medical facility in Grand Bois, Mauritius, built with Indian grant assistance. During his two-day visit, Jaishankar highlighted the clinic as a testament to the enduring friendship between India and Mauritius. The Mediclinic will provide secondary healthcare to 16,000 people, addressing post-COVID health priorities. Jaishankar expressed pride in the collaboration and praised Mauritius' Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jugnauth for the initiative. He also met with opposition leader Arvin Boolell to discuss deepening bilateral partnerships.
