Eight Indians and one Sri Lankan were rescued after the MT Falcon Prestige capsized off the Oman coast. The vessel had 25 crew members, including 13 Indians and 3 Sri Lankans. The Indian Navy’s INS Teg led the rescue, with help from maritime surveillance aircraft P-8I and Omani vessels. The Defence Ministry said, “The warship located the capsizing oil tanker on Tuesday.” The search for the remaining 16 crew members continues. The vessel capsized 25 nautical miles southeast of Ras Madrakah and was headed for Aden, Yemen.
