The Assam floods have claimed three more lives, including two minors, taking the death toll to 96. However, the situation has shown significant improvement, with the number of affected people decreasing from 5.97 lakh to 5.11 lakh in a day. The two minors died in Dhubri, while another person succumbed to the floods in Nagaon. According to the State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA), the floodwaters are receding, bringing relief to the affected areas. The improvement in the situation is a welcome respite for the state, which has been battling the floods for weeks.
