Mihir Shah, the main accused in the Mumbai BMW hit-and-run case, was arrested after three days, raising concerns from the victim's family. Pradeep Nakhwa, husband of the deceased Kaveri Nakhwa, questioned why Shah hid if he wasn't drunk. He fears no alcohol traces will be found due to the delay, saying, "Traces of alcohol won’t be there now." The accident occurred while the Nakhwas were on their scooter, and Kaveri was dragged 1500 meters, later dying in the hospital. Pradeep expressed frustration over lacking resources for legal battles against Shah, who is the son of a Shiv Sena leader. Top political leaders have not visited the family.
