The death toll in flood-affected Assam has reached 58, affecting nearly 24 lakh people, as incessant rainfall continues. The IMD has issued a red alert for Uttarakhand with heavy rainfall expected in the next 24 hours. In Maharashtra, heavy rains have disrupted train services between Kalyan and Kasara due to waterlogging. Thane district has been particularly affected, with houses submerged in Shahpur. Additionally, IMD predicts heavy rains in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Arunachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh over the coming days, urging caution amid the weather alerts.
