At least 116 people, mostly women, lost their lives in a tragic stampede during a religious gathering in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh. The incident occurred as devotees were leaving a 'satsang' led by Bhole Baba in Phulrai village. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed sorrow and assured full support to the state.
