Manpreet Kaur, a 24-year-old Indian-origin woman, died suddenly on a Qantas flight from Melbourne to Delhi on June 20. She felt unwell but managed to board the plane. Moments after struggling to fasten her seatbelt, she collapsed and died at the boarding gate. The suspected cause is tuberculosis. Kaur, who worked at Australia Post and studied cookery, was eager to reunite with her family in India after four years. A GoFundMe page has been set up to support her family. Friends and the community are contributing to help them during this difficult time.
