A roof collapse at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport Terminal 1 early Friday has resulted in one fatality and five injuries. Heavy rainfall totaling 228.1 mm in 24 hours caused the incident, damaging cars and suspending flights. All Terminal 1 departures are redirected to Terminals 2 and 3. Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu confirmed that the affected structure dates back to 2009 and announced a nationwide audit of airport facilities. The collapse coincides with widespread waterlogging across Delhi.
