The Jharkhand High Court has granted bail to former Chief Minister Hemant Soren in the alleged land scam case. Soren's advocate, Arunabh Chowdhury, stated that the court found no prima facie evidence of Soren's guilt and no likelihood of him committing an offence while on bail. Soren was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in January after a prolonged search. The case involves the generation of crores through forgery and falsified documents to acquire large parcels of land. Soren, 48, is currently lodged in Birsa Munda jail.
