The Indian Navy and Coast Guard jointly carried out a challenging medical evacuation operation in Lakshadweep, rescuing four critically-ill patients, including two infants, from Agatti Island. The operation was initiated by the Southern Naval Command and Coast Guard District HQ-4 amidst severe weather conditions due to the southwest monsoon. Navy and Coast Guard Dornier aircraft were deployed from INS Garuda and CG Air Enclave to Agatti, successfully evacuating the patients.
