The Amarnath Yatra commenced on Friday with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha flagging off the first batch of pilgrims from the base camp in Jammu. Before the flag-off, Sinha offered prayers at the temple. Addressing the media, he stated that extensive arrangements have been made for the yatra, including heightened security measures. This year's yatra has seen significant preparations, building on the efforts of the past three to four years. The LG ensured that all necessary arrangements are in place for a safe and successful pilgrimage.
