Satnam Singh, a 31-year-old farm labourer from Punjab, died on June 19 in Italy after his employer allegedly left him on the roadside following a farm accident that severed his arm. This incident sparked outrage and protests in Italy. Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni expressed shock and called for swift justice, condemning the inhumane act. Singh’s family, who learned about his death through media, demanded justice and his body’s return to India. Singh's wife, also working in the same field, sought help from neighbors after the accident. Singh was airlifted to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
