The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) announced on Tuesday that the ongoing heatwave in Bihar will soon subside, providing much-needed relief from high temperatures. Concurrently, heavy rainfall is forecasted for the Northeast and Western regions of India. Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim are on red alert for extremely heavy rains. Uttarakhand is expected to see heavy showers on June 28-29. Coastal regions, including Konkan, Goa, and Karnataka, are set to experience significant rainfall over the next few days due to advancing monsoons. Light to moderate rains are also expected in several other states, including Uttar Pradesh and Odisha.
