British-Indian Drives 18,300 km from London to Thane to Meet Mother

Virajit Mungale, a British national of Indian origin, drove 18,300 km from London to Thane over 59 days to meet his mother. Traversing 16 countries, his journey was inspired by the Silk Route. Accompanied by his friend Roshan Shresta to Nepal, Mungale handled diverse challenges such as altitude sickness and extreme weather. He drove up to 1,000 km a day, avoiding night travel for safety. After meticulous planning and obtaining permissions, Mungale will return to the UK by flight and ship his SUV back.
