Seventeen students from Bihar have been banned from NEET-UG 2024 for cheating. The Bihar Economic Offences Unit reported a paper leak. Thirteen people, including four students, have been arrested. The National Testing Agency (NTA) retested 1,563 students who previously received grace marks for lost exam time. Only 813 appeared for the retest. Those who skipped will keep their original scores. The government has removed NTA Chief Subodh Kumar Singh from his post. The NEET-PG exam, set for June 23, is now on hold, impacting about 2 lakh candidates. The CBI is investigating the leak.
