The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted a retest for NEET-UG today at six centres across India after withdrawing grace marks given earlier for exam delays. Out of 1,563 eligible candidates, only 813 appeared, with 750 skipping the exam. Chandigarh saw zero turnout among two scheduled students, while Chhattisgarh, Haryana, and Meghalaya had turnout rates of 48%, 58%, and 50% respectively. Gujarat held a retest for a single candidate. The NTA's move follows compensation withdrawal for delayed exam starts in selected states, impacting student participation.
