IMD Predicts Heatwave Relief for Northwest India, Heavy Rainfall for Coastal Regions

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts a decline in heatwave conditions in Northwest India by June 25. Coastal and south interior Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe, Konkan, and Goa are under a red alert due to expected heavy rainfall. Northwestern states, including Delhi, are experiencing relief with temperatures dropping to around 40°C. Meanwhile, Maharashtra's Palghar faces submerged bridges, and Kerala reports 11 rain-related deaths. The IMD has also issued an orange alert for Maharashtra and parts of eastern India as monsoon conditions advance across the country.
