Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, arrested on June 11 in connection with the Renukaswamy murder case, confessed to borrowing ₹40 lakh to cover up evidence. According to the police, Darshan used the money to silence witnesses and destroy evidence related to the murder. Investigators recovered ₹37.4 lakh from his home and additional cash from his fan association's leader. Co-accused Pavithra Gowda reportedly assaulted the victim, further implicating herself in the crime. Renukaswamy, a fan of Darshan, was found murdered on June 9, with police suspecting a motive tied to his interactions with Pavithra.
