In Madhya Pradesh's Raisen district, 58 children, including 39 boys and 19 girls, were rescued from Som Distillery. The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) and Bachpan Bachao Andolan (BBA) conducted the operation on Saturday. The children, who worked 12-14 hours daily, suffered burn wounds from exposure to chemicals and alcohol. They were transported to the distillery in a school bus. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav acknowledged the seriousness of the situation and stated that strict action would be taken against those responsible. Som Distilleries & Breweries, an ISO-certified company, manufactures and supplies beer, India-made foreign liquor (IMFL), and ready-to-drink beverages.
