Musk expressed concerns over the vulnerability of EVMs to hacking, suggesting they should be eliminated. Chandrasekhar countered Musk's statement, clarifying that Indian EVMs are specially designed to be secure and are not connected to any networks or media. He pointed out that unlike in the US and other countries where internet-connected voting machines are used, Indian EVMs operate on a different, secure model. Chandrasekhar highlighted the stringent security measures in place, such as factory-programmed controllers that cannot be altered, ensuring the integrity and reliability of India's electoral process.
