Kerala Millionaire KG Abraham Linked to Kuwait Apartment Fire That Killed 45 Indians

Forty-nine people, including 45 Indians, died in a fire at a Kuwait apartment owned by Kerala businessman KG Abraham. Abraham, who came to Kuwait in 1976 and built a business empire, heads NBTC, the firm owning the ill-fated apartment. The blaze, which claimed the lives of engineers, drivers, and supervisors, has cast a spotlight on Abraham, who grew his fortune from a 60-dinar salary to a diverse portfolio worth Rs 4,000 crore, including a supermarket chain in Kuwait and a luxury hotel in Kochi. Bodies of the victims have been repatriated to India.
