India Presses Russia to Ensure Release of Indians in Military as Casualties Mount

India has intensified efforts to secure the safe return of its nationals working with the Russian military, following the deaths of two more Indians in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, bringing the total to four. Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra emphasized ongoing dialogues with Russian authorities for the protection and repatriation of Indians. The Ministry of External Affairs demanded a halt to the recruitment of Indians by Russian forces. With ten Indian support staff already repatriated, concerns over the safety of around 200 Indians in conflict zones persist.
